TOKYO DESIGNERS BLOCK
9-13 oct 2003
Exhibition place : Idee Service Station, 1-5-1 Shimouma, Setagaya-ku, 154-0002 Tokyo
For the annual festival of design in Tokyo, Elshopo has settled a exhibition based around silk screen production. During the first part of the festival we worked on the creation of a prehistoric silk screen machine, "the Red-Rock". Prehistoric girl Nanae from Agura came from Hokkaido to participate in the creation process. Then this mysterious object gave us the possibility to print objects during the festival. First of all, we went in the garden to print a variety of hand made stickers, wich were given to the public in Idee shop.

Then came the time of Elshopo Special Night Party. Unfortunatly we had no shoes this night but we weared our best clothes to printed live a series of T-shirts, in the shop. The T-shirt design was hand made and the screen was insolated with natural sun-light, outdoor.

DJ HIRO from confusion NYC was making the sound this night.
We have also shown many of our silk screen productions during the festival: posters, T-shirts, postcards you can see on the shop part of Elshopo. We've also organised a 1 hour video projection of all Elshopo Videos, you can watch them on the visiotronic part of Elshopo. Except that, there was lot of parties every nights during the festival, with lot of free alcohol and big crowd.

Elshopo official T-shirt design for TDB, "TDB Monkeys", no doubt Rulian and Nanae are 2 monkeys too.
So bye bye and let's think a little about the future of design with us!
