Back in Berlin in the beginning of September, we took some time to work with the artist Tue Greenfort (represented by Johann Koenig Gallery, Berlin) that we first met in May 2005, in the beginning of the trip. Tue is indeed driving a bus converted to roll on plant oil instead of diesel. It's a system that is rising more and more in Germany and that allows to pay less (about 0,40euro ct/Liter) and to preserve the environment (more info on www.diesel-therm.com)
We had the idea to experiment something by printing with the leftovers of plant oil that Tue normally uses to fill the tank of his bus. So we chose a technical drawing to be printed on a red paper then we watched how it reacted. The result is quite astonishing because the oil is keeping expanding on the paper. The shape of the drawing is evoluting with the time but if you concentrate hard, you'll be able to see how to turn your own car into an ecological and alternative vehicle!!
